Family Joy - Week 1

Last week I started a three week online photography class hosted by Willette. The class is to help us learn how to document our own family in photos. I really enjoyed the first weeks theme: immediate family. Next week we are doing siblings so I may be borrowing my cousins kiddos. Back 2 School!

Twas the night before school started, 

when all through the town, 

the parents were cheering... 

It was a riotous sound! 

By 8, kids were washed and tucked into bed... 

Where memories of homework filled them with dread! 

New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too! 

New teachers, new friends...Their anxiety grew! 

The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright- 

and shouted upstairs: Go To Bed! It's A School Night!! 

A friend of mine posted that on Facebook tonight and I loved it!! It fit so well with the back 2 school session I did with my daughter yesterday! Here are just a few of her photo session yesterday!! Hope you enjoy them!

There are a few more photos below but I wanted to share about her cute shirt! It was so easy to make thanks to Marlins Mom on Etsy! I purchased the DIY version with everything all cut out and ready to go! I think it was about $5.00. She also has them for about $18.00 made to order! The was great to deal with and shipped very fast! Check her out HERE!

 

Now that school is starting my schedule is very busy with church, classes, work, homework, and Haylee's dance classes!! I will be making time on weekends for photo shoots but there won't be much availability during the week! Please make sure to schedule sessions as soon as you can so that I can be sure to leave the time available for YOU!!

{There is alot to Share}

In July I posted a freebie To Do list. I just wanted to do a quicky to show you what it looks like framed. I love it. All of my latest sessions have a free one included with their print order (To be mailed out Tuesday) ! I hope you guys enjoy it. Thanks again for being so patient while I have been so sick!

Last but not least! I told you guys about the referral program a few weeks ago and I wanted to share an example of some of our cards. If your not signed up for our newsletter than you missed it. I will share it here too. 

Refer and Earn Program

Here is the scoop on our Referral Program:

For every person you refer that has a session with me you will get a $25 print credit. When you have referred your 6th person you will also get a free session! So once you get 6 referrals you get a free session as well as $150.00 for prints!! Print credits are valid for one year.

 

Okay and last I want to wish everyone a wonderful Holiday weekend. I'm hoping that this is my last week of being sick!! Pneumonia is not something that I EVER want again.

What is a Standout? 

Standouts are the perfect contemporary mounting option that doesn’t require a frame to hang on the wall. The sleek edges and sides of the Standout mount can create a modern wall display with the focus all on the image. Standout is available in two depths, ¾” and 1-1/2″ so dimension can be added to a wall by mixing and matching Standout depths in the display.

Standouts are made from lightweight foam banded with a Black, White, Light Wood, or Stainless Steel edge and come ready to display with hanging holes on the backside. Photographic prints in Lustre or Metallic finish, Fine Art Canvas and Fine Art Velvet prints can be mounted onto the front of a Standout. For hanging all you need to do is pound a nail into the wall, and hang your beautiful portrait! Every standout comes with four holes in the back so you can choose to hang it horizontally or vertically depending on the orientation of your image. It doesn’t get any easier than that =)

Ramesy Family {Holly Family Photographer}

Thank you so much for being so patient. For those who don't know... I have been really sick for a few weeks now and just can't focus. It started with a sinus infection, then turned to bronchitis and went to the clinic tonight because I was still feeling horrible and was told that I know have an ear infection and pneumonia. So I am hoping that everyone is having a better month than me!! August is not going so great, today they gave me an antibiotic shot and another round of antibiotics for ten days. Hopefully it will knock it out quickly. There will be more pics to come as soon as I am able to focus without dying... okay the dying is a little bit of an exaggeration but it feels that way!!

BUILT IN BEST FRIENDS {Children's Photographer Davison,MI.}

On Tuesday I met the wonderful LeMieux Family. When I was growing up I always asked my parents for a little brother or sister, my half brother and sister were older than me and we weren't really around each other often. I would like to think that if my parents had granted my many wishes that we would be just like Alec and Sidney! I'm sure like many other children they have their days but Tuesday Alec and Sydney were great and made my job very easy! Enjoy!

CLOVER BEACH {Family Photographer: Linden MI}

On Monday I had the privilege of meeting the beautiful Camps Family. We met at Clover beach and had a wonderful time. The wind was a little much but it was sunny and beautiful outside. Even loved chasing bubbles, playing in the water and making his little sister giggle! They were so much fun and I am glad that I got the chance to take their family portraits.
